Thames Valley District School Board Awards Construction Tender for New Elementary School in Southeast London
Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) is pleased to announce a tender for the construction of a $28.2 million elementary school and child care centre for southeast London has been awarded to Wellington Builders Inc.
Located at Honeywood Drive and Gatestone Road within London’s Jackson Meadows neighbourhood, the new southeast elementary school will accommodate 655 students and include an 88-space child care centre. It’s expected to open for the 2026-2027 school year. The YMCA of Southwestern Ontario will be the child care provider for the new southeast public school.
The new southeast school is one of 10 new elementary schools set to be built in Thames Valley by the TVDSB. These schools are critical in ensuring the growing communities in Thames Valley have access to modern, high-quality education facilities.
The Ministry of Education announced funding for a new south east London elementary school in April 2024.
